Tiles can be used almost anywhere. Garage floors, kitchen counters, exterior walls, house address numbers..... Wait, house address numbers? Yes; the use of tile is limited only to your imagination! Since tile is chemically inert, unaffected by UV light and resistant to temperature, tile makes a great material for this project. Since porcelain tiles are generally inexpensive, making house numbers from tile is actually much more economical than buying large address numbers, which can cost a lot. These numbers were made with black 12” x 12” porcelain tiles, which can be easily found. Choose a tile with "through body colour" so the edges will be the same colour as the surface, rather than white. To make your numbers, 1. Draw out your shapes with a china marker or other marking tool. Geometric, digital-style number shapes will be easier to cut than curves.
